There is no knocking the fact that Central New York is home to some of the most stunning waterfalls on the east coast. Many within an hour drive of well known cities of New York.

These waterfalls create a beautiful landscape and can add a dramatic scene to your specially documented day. So if being in a location with water views, screams who you are as a couple, keep reading for some of my favorite Central New York waterfalls, even if its just to visit.

Great Gully Falls

Location: 3955 NY-90, Union Springs, NY 13160

This waterfall is 1.5 miles of a moderate hike. You can swim in and even walk behind the waterfall. It provides a beautiful location that is easy to get to.

Delphi Falls

Location: 2006 Cardner Road, New Woodstock, NY.

A moderate hiking trail back to the falls overlook. Delphi Falls is a stunning cascade waterfall with surrounding woodland.

Robert Treman State Park

Location: 105 Enfield Falls Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850

Robert H. Treman State Park is a 1,110-acre state park located in Tompkins County, in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Akron Falls

Location: 44 Parkview Dr, Akron, NY 14001

One of the furthest western NY waterfall locations I have visited, worth the drive and the hike back to see this beauty. Akron Falls Park is a 284-acre park in the Village of Akron and Town of Newstead, New York. A major feature of the park is a scenic 40-foot waterfall when there isn’t a drought like seen below…

Taughannock Falls

Location: 1740 Taughannock Blvd.
Trumansburg, NY 14886

Easily one of the most favorite falls I have been to. This stunning falls plunges 215 feet past rocky cliffs that tower nearly 400 feet above the gorge. It offer the most incredible views during spring, summer, fall and my favorite is it’s winter wonderland.
