Our family recently purchased a home in Southwest Florida, marking an exciting new chapter for Mindy Hulett Photo. Learn why I’m now serving couples throughout both Central New York and Southwest Florida while continuing to document weddings with a documentary approach and editorial style.

A New Chapter
Some places have a way of feeling like home long before they officially become one.
For our family, Florida has slowly become that place. What began as trips to the Gulf Coast turned into something we looked forward to more with every visit. We fell in love with the sunshine, the slower pace, the coastal towns and the feeling of being able to truly step away and reconnect.
This year, that dream became reality when we purchased a home in Southwest Florida.
More Than a Destination
Buying a home here was never about simply adding another location to my website. Florida became part of our family’s story first.
We now have a place where we can slow down, spend time together, explore nearby beaches and little coastal towns, and create memories we will carry with us for years.
Central New York will always be home and where my photography business began. I am incredibly excited, though, to now serve couples in both Central New York and Southwest Florida throughout the year.
Some places become part of your story before you even realize they are becoming home.
Photographing Love Stories in Two Places I Love
One of the things I love most about wedding photography is how deeply a location can shape the feeling of a celebration.
A lakeside wedding in the Finger Lakes feels completely different from an intimate ceremony overlooking the Gulf. An elegant estate celebration has a different energy than exchanging vows with your toes in the sand. That sense of place is part of what makes every wedding story unique.
My approach blends documentary storytelling with an editorial eye. I am drawn to genuine reactions, thoughtful details, beautiful light and the quiet moments happening between everything that was carefully planned.
I want your photographs to show you how your wedding looked, but even more importantly, I want them to bring you back to how it felt.
Now Serving Southwest Florida
As we begin spending more time here, I am especially looking forward to photographing celebrations throughout Southwest Florida.
Boca Grande • Gasparilla Island • Venice • Sarasota
Longboat Key • Siesta Key • Englewood • Punta Gorda
Fort Myers • Sanibel Island • Captiva Island
Bonita Springs • Naples
Central New York Will Always Be Home
I will continue photographing weddings throughout Syracuse, Rochester, Skaneateles, the Finger Lakes, the Adirondacks and beyond.
Whether your wedding overlooks one of New York’s beautiful lakes or the waters of Florida’s Gulf Coast, my purpose remains the same: to create honest, intentional photographs that preserve the people, feeling and story of your day.
I feel incredibly grateful to serve couples in two places that now mean so much to our family.
If you are planning a wedding or engagement session in Central New York or Southwest Florida, I would love to hear what you are dreaming up.
